What are your opening hours?
My workshop is at my home location, so I can be very flexible on visiting times. Best always to contact me to arrange a convenient time for you.
Do you make canvas frames and stretch canvasses?
I don't make canvas frames or stretch canvasses, but I do frame them if supplied ready made and stretched. I generally use 'Caisse Americaine' style frames for canvasses.
What is the largest frame you can make?
I generally produce frames with glass and mounts up to a size of 80 x 100cm. For frames without mounts, the size can be larger, I have done frames up to 2m x 1m including glass. Always best to give me a call for advice on my size capabilities.
Can you supply replacement glass for my broken picture?
Yes, I can supply and cut replacement glass. Normally, I will clean the frame at the same time and check for other damage, including replacement mount if necessary.
Can you supply non-reflective glass?
Yes, in addition to standard non-reflective glass I can also provide specialist ArtGlass, which is almost invisible to the eye. Often used by art galleries and museums it does however cost a lot more than standard glass and needs care when cleaning.
What framed art do you sell?
I collect interesting and old advertising prints, original paintings, limited editions and collectable original posters. I frame these and offer them for re-sale. They can all be viewed on my website galleries page, or you can visit and browse. ( www.frenchrevivals.com/galleries )
Can you frame items other than pictures?
I have framed silks, old sampler needle point, a vintage chocolate bar (yes!) and a variety of other objects, including a glass sculpture. I am always ready for a challenge and will let you know if I can frame the item or not.
How do I find you?
I am based in Charente, 16390 Bonnes. I don't publish my full address online, please contact me either by phone or my website and I will email directions.
Can you frame oval or round pictures?
I don't supply oval or round frames and I cannot cut oval or round glass. I can however cut round/oval mounts to fit a customer supplied frame. There is a size limit for the cutter, so always best to contact me first with your frame size.
How do you accept payment?
Payment can be made in cash, by euro cheque, bank transfer or by most major debit & credit cards.
